I don't own or operate the motel in Taos which wants its employees to
speak English, so you're insulting the wrong party. When I travel to
Panama, I expect the natives to speak Spanish or French or a local
dialect of the San Blas Indians, for example. When travelling in
Taos, I expect the locals to speak English. When in Japan, I expect
the locals to speak Japanese. When in Germany, I expect the locals to
speak German. I would be confused if a German hotel had Mexicans
speaking Mexican. That's just common sense.
