The so called "missile defence" system is an imaginative creation of
those attempting to con the US government out of a lot of what would
have be utterly wasted money. Unfortunately the previous
administration had fallen for the ineffective, superfluous, ruse,
seemingly having lost touch with post Cold War realities. The system
has zero real defensive value for Europe and the USA, and even though
it poses no real or deliberate threat to Russia, it could easily lead
to accidental targeting of non hostile objects. Accidents of that sort
are far more likely to happen than actual "defense" with that type of
system. |
