Health Reform Will Benefit Seniors!!!-:)

On Wednesday night, President Obama delivered a passionate address on
health reform to Congress and all Americans. He clearly explained
exactly how reform will benefit seniors -- and reminded us all that
the people spreading lies today have fought against Medicare in the
past.

Any senior with doubts about reform should hear what President Obama
had to say. Please take a moment to watch the President speaking
directly to America's seniors -- and then pass this note on to friends
and family members who may have questions about reform.

It will also benefit V.A. patients for many of the same reasons.

How about the many Obama lies that he himself allowed to be issued

"Barack Obama will eliminate all income taxation of seniors making
less than $50,000 per year."

We have not yet gotten there!!!-Smile He hasn't been in office long
enough to change the tax burden in the current year. Patience gains
ALL things, my friend. If Obama promised it, you may expect he will
keep that promise!!!-Smile

Sordo, YOU CAN"T SUBSTANTIATE THAT CLAIM!!! We are a nation of laws.
The tax laws WILL CHANGE!!! It is possible that changes will be made
before the year ends. That there will be any retroactive relief is
uncertain. Immediately, the health care plans are being worked upon.
Congress will pass that legislation and then more time will be devoted
to the tax structure (some of which is part of the new health care
plan)!!!-:)

Rome wasn't built in a day!!! The plans of this admirable
administration will not be implemented overnight but THEY WILL BE
IMPLEMENTED!!!-Smile The people have spoken and NOW, President Obama
will not let them down!!!-:)

The only LIE you percieve is that which exists in your own head!!!
Thanks for your support!!!_Smile

Wrong! - he has already repudiated that statement, and dropped it from
his ongoing proposals.

Please point me to the TRUTH supporting your claim that "he has
already repudiated that statement"???

He repudiated it in a televison interview over a month ago, saying it
was just "a campaign promise".

OK - the $50k income tax exemption for seniors has been dropped from
the FY 2010 budget. See for yourself at http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget

The link is quite informative as to what the budget means for the
states!!! However, I don't see any reference to the tax exemption for
seniors being "dropped from the FY2010 budget"??? How could it be
cut, if it was never in there??? The promise was made to seniors and
I expect the President will adhere to that promise at the first
opportunity. Much hinges on the tax law changes which will not take
effect until near the end of this year or early next year. There is
ALWAYS the possibility that the breaks will be retroactive!!=")

If you look at the best opportunity for the administration to have
instituted a tax cut to seniors, it would have been the ARRA. That
bill contained a variety of tax breaks but none specifically for
seniors (except for the $250 one-time payment). Worse, many of the
tax breaks in the stimulus were based on wage income or focused on
wage earners, something most seniors don't have.

It was the opportunity to make good on a promise but was overlooked.
