I have NO personal association with this trip, however wanted to make
the observations here.
There's a number of cruises upcoming, but I have to hand it to the MSC
line for their extraordinary publicity to the general public of the
upcoming January cruise.
Most of the polka music onboard a cruise line is usually hush hush,
sort of a closed affair, it appears that MSC is making the music more
widely available to all ship guests GREAT.
This is what polka music needs!
The details
Two well-known polka bands will keep guests dancing and swaying:
• John Stevens Double Shot is a popular Pennsylvania-based group that
plays its contemporary polka rhythms at numerous festivals throughout
the country. The group’s most popular songs are “Everyone’s Having
Fun,” “Gonna Have a Party,” and “Back to the Sea.”
• Joe Stanky and the Cadets have been performing classic polka sounds
for more than 25 years. The group also features a range of styles,
including honky, country, Slovenian and both English and Polish
vocals. The group’s newest CD is “Sing Me Back Home.”
