Hi all,

Has anyone else noticed Amazon selling remastered Enya albums -
perhaps the most noticeable being a copy of ``Shepherd Moons''
containing the Gaelic Book of Days?

Andrew.

Hi,

You can get patronizing all you want, but I'm gonna repeat Arnaud's
question:

Where are those remastered CDs? I checked both Amazon sites, both on my
own and using your silly steps, and neither attempt turned up anything
that looks like it's remastered to me.

So, if anyone found what was being refered to here: Where, and on which
site, do we find *remastered* Enya CDs?

Thanks!

The site I was looking on was the MP3 downloads, not the CDs. Not
sure whether the CDs are available on Amazon.

Andrew (who will wait for the best of comp to come out in December
before buying any of these remastered CDs, as I wouldn't mind the DVD
either).

Of course. You know, you just can't beat a good, remastered MP3, can

you? Great quality, too. You get those people who say that MP3's are
shite quality, and others who say that actually *buying* MP3's (as
opposed to downloading them for free from P2P networks) is the height of
imbecility .......... but what do they know?

Yeah! I can see that you've *really* thought this whole thing through.

Well done.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for clearing that up.

I think you've downloaded something from the upcoming compilation CD, which indeed is remastered.

But then there are no remastered CDs. Pitty. But there wasn't too much to remaster anyway, it seems to me they've always been handled pretty well in the mastering department...

Best regards,
Dennis

Actually I didn't download anything yet - wanted to see what was on
the compilation CD. They have a tracklist on Amazon, I don't think it
is anything special in the audio department, though there are some
videos on there as well. I would be interested to see what people
think about the track listing, as I wasn't too impressed (it was a lot
of her stuff after ADWR that was primarily featured imho).

The remastered disks that were on the MP3 site would be worth buying
on CD for the extra tracks - I did look for the CD versions but didn't
find them as yet. They were definately separate albums from the best
of collection though.

Thanks.
Andrew.

Here's info I found on remastering on the new compilation, track by
track. All songs have been previously released, but there is a
stripped-down, previously unreleased version of “Aniron” which was
featured in Peter Jackson’s Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The
Rings.

Track-listing for Standard CD (*Denotes Remastered):
Orinoco Flow* / Aníron (previously unreleased version) / Storms in
Africa* / Caribbean Blue* / Book of Days* / The Celts* / Only Time /
Wild Child / Water Shows The Hidden Heart / Anywhere Is* / Cursum
Perficio* / Amarantine / Aldebaran* / Trains and Winter Rains /
Watermark* / Boadicea* / A Day Without Rain / May It Be / Oiche Chiuin
(Chorale) [Bonus Track]

Track-listing for CD/DVD (*Denotes Remastered):

CD:
Trains and Winter Rains / My My Time Flies / Stars and Midnight Blue /
Amarantine / Sumiregusa / The River Sings / If I Could Be Where You
Are / Wild Child / Only Time / Drifting / Flora’s Secret / Fallen
Embers One By One / Pax Deorum* / Athair ar Neamh* / Anywhere Is* /
Orinoco Flow* / Watermark* / Boadicea* / May It Be / Caribbean Blue* /
Aníron (previously unreleased version)

DVD TRACKLISTING:
Orinoco Flow / Caribbean Blue / Only Time / The Celts / Amarantine /
Trains And Winter Rains / Evening Falls / Anywhere Is / It’s In The
Rain / Wild Child / Only If / Storms In Africa / On My Way Home /
Documentary footage /
Making Of “Caribbean Blue” / Making Of “Only Time”

"This package is the most comprehensive Enya DVD to date, collecting
all thirteen of her music videos and making them available
commercially for the first time ever in the U.S. In addition, the DVD
features an interview, behind-the-scenes footage, and two “making of”
mini-documentaries about the creation of the “Caribbean Blue” and
“Only Time” videos. "
