Sweet Jesus!

Are the Bengals this good or are the Bears this bad?

The answer to both questions is YES!

Sorry, baseball has jumped the shark.

Just can't give a flying fuck about any sport without a cap.

That said, GO PHILLIES!!!!

How can the Bengals be that good if the Texans beat them?

Dude, your QB has more passing yards than Drew Breese...

But therein lies the beauty of the NFL & NHL, does it not? The fact that no
one goes into either season knowing who will win, based solely on an ability
to spend billions.

Fuck baseball. The sport has become a national joke with its endless season
and obscene financial model. While I'd like to see the Phillies win I'd
rather see the World Series snowed-out.

They have looked better the last couple of weeks since the defense has
picked it up a little. We'll have to see how far they can go.

I know what you mean. Something about baseball in November isn't all
that appealing.

Right now they could rip the Bears a new one.

Do we play you guys this season? I'll have to bet on Houston...

Seriously, it would be GREAT to see the series snowed out. I would laugh my
ass off! Poor little Hal, tried to buy his BIG trophy but it got too cold.
Brrrr! And is that comissioner f-ing useless, or what? Talk about a 3rd
tit.

By the way - and this is for Kreach so I hope he's reading - a few years ago
I speculated that not all of the Rexy fumbled snaps were his fault. I said
some were on the Center, Olin Kreutz. I don't think anybody replied at the
time (we don't have many Bears fans here or Over Yonder) but I still think
the idea has merit.

Yeah, I know, "Olin Kreutz is a Pro Bowler." But I also know a bad snap
when I see one. I know when a center steps on a QB's foot and I know when a
guy can't make a snap to a QB in the shotgun.

All 3 Bears QBs (Rexy, Orton & Cutler) have fumbled snaps. Sure, Rexy
suffered from this the most, and no he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed,
but at least he had an arm and could throw downfield. At least he had
potential.

I ain't saying Rexy was good. I am saying Orton was worse.

I'm also saying that some of the snaps Rexy fumbled were on Kruetz.

Kruetz needs to get his shit together. He's untouchable due to his
reputation, but he makes his share of mistakes. And after his garbage snaps
last Sunday I think people are finally starting to realize it.

How about that nonsense last night? Except for you folks on the West
Coast who could stay up to watch that game?

Baseball is its own worst enemy. I haven't heard a single person
talking about the Series or giving a flip who wins. By November people
are into football at all levels and basketball/hockey are starting.
Why a professional league would allow themselves to play fourth fiddle
like that is beyond me.

And don't get me started on that idiot McCarver .......

I watched it while answering the doorbell for Trick or Treaters. Both teams
have some great players, so what the HELL are they doing out there in 45
degrees and rain?

LOL. I barely listen to them. I even sometimes mute the volume and just
watch. Last night I was flipping between the World Series and a couple
games on NHL Center Ice, that made Buck/McCarver a little less irritating.

That's way I enjoy the game so much, most folks think it's too slow
without guys beating each other to a pulp on the field.
If you follow the stats and have been a fan for a life time, you give
a flip. Baseball is the only sport I follow with any amount of
engagment,

Living in College Football land most folks don't even know who's
playing in the series in my part of the world.

All in all a very interesting series with Chris Hill and Andy Petite 2
of the most intense pitchers in the league today..............

I haven't been following very close, and I'm a baseball maniac. It's the
November thing I guess. It just feels different. If you'd have told me in
Sept. that the Series would be Phil./NY, I'd have been very excited about
that match-up, but it ain't there.

Who is Chris Hill, a rookie? He completely slipped through my barely-on
radar.

My error Cliff Hill not Chris....................

Overall a very good series and I'm watchin the Yanks get their butt
kicked in game 5 tonight. Looks like we're off to NY for Game 6 and
my idol Andy Pettite pitching for the Yanks in game 6.

I don't know too much about baseball. myself. Maybe that's why I just can't
get into it.
