Hey Polka Fans,
This Sunday November 1, 2009 .. Come out and celebrate with.Marge
Machay of Polonia Banquets...45th year in business.
Located at 4604 S. Archer Ave., Chicago Il.
Doors open at 12:30 pm
Music from 1:00 to 7:00 pm
Music by: Rick Rzeszutko's Music Company...celebrating 40 years of
entertaining

Admission: $10.00 at the door. Children under 16 are FREE!!!!
Admission includes a plate of Polonia's Polish Food and the fabulous
chocolate fountain from 4-6 pm

John -
If we weren't playing this wknd. in Massachusetts, I'd be on a flight
to Chicago for sure. The Machay family deserves much credit for what
they have done through the last 45 years at Polonia in many ways.
Marge Machay is a Chicago Polka legend no doubt. She must have set a
record for the longest running polka ballroom and picnic grove in the
U.S. consistently promoting polka music and pulling it off through the
thick & thin of it all even till this day. Some 40 years ago the late
Chet Gulinski dubbed Polonia as the title was earned "Chicago's hub of
polka activity" because of the packed schedule of dynamic events they
put on each weekend without fail. I could go on and on but there's one
lady that truly deserves to be placed into the International Polka
Music Hall of Fame. Marge Machay set a high standard that will be
tough for anyone to measure up to. Through the tough turns and twists
and bumps in the road, she hasn't lost her finesse and integrity. This
Sunday is indeed a special day as we keep the late Chuck Machay in our
thoughts and prayers. Congratulations Marge Machay & family.
As for Rick Rzeszutko, what a perfect double celebration. Rick and the
Music Company have played for many weddings, dances, anniversaries,
etc. at Polonia. It's only proper & fitting that together they
celebrate this milestone together. Rick has weathered main of storms
as a bandleader and always maintained a professional disposition. His
40th anniversary is quite an accomplishment. Hats off to you.

John, again please send my very best to everyone in celebration for
these 2 special events being honored on this Sunday. I truly wish I
could be there.
