Anyone else here see paranormal activity yet? I was expecting a total
crap fest but it ended up scaring the crap out of me. First the negative
things about the film. The characters were idiots and by that I mean
they like all characters in horror films act in the exact opposite way
that a sane person would act in that same situation. Also there are some
extremely lame cliches such as a ouija board and a girl from a few
decades ago who suffered in the same way as the current girl is. Now
this movie is really scary for a few reasons. The main one being is that
the location for this movie is just a typical home in a typical
neighborhood, not some crazy ass haunted house, castle, remote hillbilly
area that you're warned by the old man not to go to. Also aside from the
main characters breaking the "scary movie rules" they act in a very
realistic way. The use of lighting and sound effects is excellent and
creates an extremely eerie atmosphere. Also the scares are mostly
psychological as you never directly see the "monster" and there's very
little blood. In a nutshell it's scary because it seems almost plausable
and it draws from mundane and common experiences and puts a horrifying
twist on them. As an aside if I were the characters in the movie I
would've gotten the hell out of the house and called an exorcist asap of
course they don't. So if you've seen it sound off. |

Okay dipshit I'll be brief, this might be a slayer NG but we discuss a
wide variety of topics, as guess what, endless Slayer talk is boring.
The only reason we are talking about them now is because of the new
album. Go look at other band NG's and the ones that used to solely
discuss the band are now dead.
A few weeks I did a check and there were about 3 or 4 on topic
discussions about Slayer which is far too much.

Oh and speaking of the new album I've gotten thru three tracks and so
far I'm liking it.
I apparently got through 11 listens to it last night, which is wrong
according to some....;-)

If you`re for real then I think the rest of this group is going to tire of
you real quick. We`ve all known each other in here for some time and are
quite happy babbling on about other stuff...move along if it offends you.
That's quite a polite way of saying fuck off you obnoxious cunt. Say
