Here's my situation...I've known this woman for over a year now and
we've always been good friends. For the majority of that time, she was
going thru a lot of hardships in her life and I was always there for
her whether she needed to vent, rant, a shoulder to cry on, or just to
talk and get her mind off things. This was in addition to us doing
things normal friends do. Over time, I started to develop deep loving
feelings for her and they've developed to the point that I want us to
be a couple. Well, she recently tells me about this new boyfriend in
her life and although I'm very happy that she's happy again after all
this time, I find myself feeling jealous and dejected. My question is
how do I seperate my feelings of love for her from our friendship, a
friendship I truly value. In all honesty, I'd rather have a lifetime
friendship with her than have a romantic relationship that may not
work out and lose the friendship as well. Any suggestions? |
