Some of us are born with rhythm while others, well, they just have to
really work hard at finding that rhythm within. It is difficult for
many, as crazy as that seems. Having rhythm is important but being
able to maintain rhythm through an entire chord when you are playing
the guitar can be pretty complicated to say the least. Holding the
rhythm is important so that you can display the sounds as you had
hoped for. Otherwise it will just all sound like a really big mess and
nobody wants that kind of reputation from playing poorly out in the
public eye. People do talk and they remember your talents, if those
talents shined during your performance, if not, they will be sure and
let everyone know what kind of guitarist you are not.
The best proven ways to begin practicing your rhythm is by playing the
available open strings for the very last part of the song, so that
there will be more than enough time for you to catch up and change the
chords when necessary. No one will ever catch on to your little guitar
rhythm, chord changing tricks. Unless they are experienced guitarists
that is, they would notice all of the tricks you are hiding during
your performance. You also need to remember that the best way to keep
up with the rhythm is by using parts of your body to kind of tap along
with whatever beat or chord that is being played. Doing this will get
you more used to the feel of the music, which will improve your
listening abilities, which are important when catching the rhythm.
The further you go with your beats, you need to try and increase your
tempo. There are things you can purchase to help you learn proper
timing, they might be helpful in the beginning of your guitar playing
and for learning more rhythm. You have to have the ability to hear all
of the beats in order to be able to keep up with them and keep the
song going. Music can be a big part of your life and if you are

Many accessories that you will need for your guitar can be purchased
off the internet or at your local music store. Make sure you gather up
all that you can, it will make practice time much more enjoyable,
knowing you are working on all of the important factors, when it comes
to better rhythm and how to play guitar.
Once you begin learning more how to play you will also learn more on
how to use your ears for something more than a hat rack, use them for
learning the rhythm, the beat, the tone, the list goes on and on.
There is so much to learn about rhythm and playing the guitar, so it
is going to take up quite a bit of your time, so make sure you are
prepared for the task ahead of you, it can be so much fun.
