Is this newsgroup still alive? The last time I got a message was September
08.
Too much badluck surrounding Alice these days:
-suitcase full of precious tapes lost (then found) at the airport
-death of Renfield
-collapse of stage rigging in Russia
"Theatre of Death Tour" indeed.

Hi Suzanne,
It has been dead here for a long time. Good to hear from you though. I
was saddened to hear about Brian's death. I haven't been able to find
out anything about it but it is very sad.
Hopefully some people will begin writing again.

I'm still here as well. Tried to post some stuff a few mos back to no
reply. Usually a good "fav album" poll gets people involved, but I don't
know now, it's been a while since even a decen thread was in this group.
The new CD "Along Came A Spider" is very good, in fact better than Dirty
Diamonds, but still, no buzz in here. |

"Along Came a Spider" is really a great album. Nice guitar work by Slash
on one track is just icing on the cake. The overall quality of the
compositions really stands out - this isn't the one-riff makes a song
symptom that plagues so much modern music -- this is layered,
well-composed rock-n-roll not seen in a long time. Highly recommended.
Plus it has all that cool artwork, and it was even released on vinyl -
how cool is that?

Your imagination's likely not quite what it used to be.
If I were writing songs at 62, they'd probably be titled "My aching
back"
"My aching knees" "Where's My Meds"
(lol) Not knocking Alice though, I hope he's still recording 5 years
from now.
A song titled "Where's My Meds" would be great. I can hear it now...
Where's my meds? Left for dead,
I'm just in a coma,
Don't leave me this way.
I'm normally mobile,
now movement is futile,
Please find my meds ... today!
Alice would do it justice...
