I love Coldplay's song, "Viva la Vida". Having gladly put up my
iTunes dollar, I think I'm down to about a tenth of a cent per play,
having listened to the song so many times. [Kinda makes you wonder
why anyone would pirate a song like this... if they listen to it
enough, the cost per play is free]. Anyway, Chris Martin and company,
I think I've got the better deal of my dollar. Thank you!
The song of course, is about a regretful king that lost everything and
looks to about getting his head chopped off. I wondered, what if, the
King was actually a successful evil King? Thus I put together a simple
parody lyric for "Viva La Vida", turning it from an almost sentimental
song, into a jingoist anthem worthy of the lyrics to the "Green
Berets". In this politically incorrect parody lyric, the king
recounts his triumphs and invites a young man to join him on a
crusade.
