Don't know how much the US regulars here know but Rhino is releasing FROM
THE INSIDE on CD Sept. 23rd.

Last year when I was off sick from work I took some of my Coop LP's and put
them through WaveLab and transferred them to CD. I even put the single
version of title track and No Tricks (from the box set) as "bonus tracks"
but the vinyl pops and scratches make me glad I can get this CD soon
domestically.

Any idea if they're doing anything special with it?

Wondering if I need to upgrade from my current copy.

If you already have a copy then your fine. It looks like a no frills
release. They are calling it "Rhino Encore" on Amazon.com

On www.allmusic.com the 2008 Rhino CD is listed as having the same catalog
number as the 1978 Warner Bros. LP (#3263)

My CD is Warner Bros. #7599-26064-2 made in Germany. It came with a lyrics
booklet.

I see both From the Inside AND Flush the Fashion are slated for re-release
on Rhino.

I'm still playing my Japanese copy of FROM THE INSIDE. It will be tough to
improve upon the sound of that CD. (And, no it's not better just because
there is an "OBI" strip on the disc!!!). How was this never available
domestically?? ....or did i miss it?? Hopefully the re-release WILL
include the B-side "No Tricks". The Japanese release did not have it.

It does seems strange that they would release both albums now. The only
thing I can think of is Alice has the new album and Rhino wants to get some
milage off of the catalog but still...

I am overjoyed and puzzled that they are releasing both albums. (In other
words "That's great, but why?)

No Tricks (as well as the single version of the title track) would be awsome
but I wouldn't get my hopes too high.

How true! But, we can always refer the Box set "Life and Crimes" if we need
a fix of the singles and B-sides. To be honest, I don't often play disc #4.

I'm sure I'll be buying the Rhino copies just to support Alice and maybe get
some different artwork with the package. Hey, it doesn't hurt to have a
backup copy of these classics~!

I kick myself for not getting the Metall Blade issue with the liner notes by
Alice when I saw it on sale back in the late 80's. That same year I saw "The
Nightmare" on VHS at the same record store and passed it up not knowing how
rare it is/was ...
