I'm pretty sure Sirs Paul and Elton will both show up for Friday's
Shea show....

According to Pollstar - here's Sir Paul's schedule:

Sun 07/20/08 "Quebec City 400th Anniversary Celebration"
Sun 07/20/08 Paul McCartney

He's going to be "in the area"....Quebec isn't far from NYC. I'm
going to put my $$ on him showing up for the "real last play at Shea."

Also, Elton is playing AC on Sat....so I'm expecting him as well.

Any speculation on the other 2 guests.

Guests at the 7/16 show were: Tony Bennett, John Mayer, Don Henley,
and John Mellencamp...

Best,
-Rob

If you're taking guesses, I would add Ringo and Madonna. (Though she's
probably at the *other* baseball stadium.)

Who else? Bob Dylan? Paul Simon? Lou Reed? The Beastie Boys?

Since Billy worked with Steve Winwood and Cyndi Lauper on "The Bridge"
album, their appearance would be no surprise.

Access Hollywood has a backstage segment with Billy tonight. They
showed him rehearsing with Tony Bennett. Billy denied Ringo or Paul
would appear Friday, but he said he would have loved to have them. He
said there will definitely be Beatles songs though. (Ma ybe Julian
or Sean Lennon are available)

I think Tony Bennett is supposed to appear again. Mellencamp is on
Letterman tonite so maybe he'll still be in town tomorrow.

Over the years I've seen a bunch of guests but I'm not sure who's in
town. Cyndi Lauper sang Zeppelin's Rock & Roll in Miami with him a
few years ago. Paul Simon joined him for Sea Cruise at Jones Beach.
Itzhak Perlman played violin on Downeaster Alexa (he's uncredited on
Storm Front for legal reasons). Debbie Gibson sang Keeping the Faith
at Nassau Coliseum and got booed.

He's friends with Sting but I don't know if he's in town. Sheryl Crow
just sang at the All Star Game but I don't know where she is. Bon
Jovi has been performing all week. Marc Anthony is a big Billy fan, a
Long Islander and a Mets fan.

If you could have anyone show up, who would you pick?

Ringo Starr will be in Washington state - so unfortunately he won't be
there.

Well, I stand corrected. Smile I guess Billy lied to keep the surprise.
