Looks like the boys are lacking inspiration when it comes to song
titles, unless they are covers ?!

"C'MON C'MON" - Sheryl Crow ?
"COME UNDONE" - Duran Duran ?
"ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG" - one of the 70s guys ?

"SONGS FROM THE SPARKLE LOUNGE" UPDATE (posted 02.01)
Well, it's one of the constants in the history of Def Leppard, and we
regret to inform you that it has popped up again: the release of the
band's new album "SONGS FROM THE SPARKLE LOUNGE" has been pushed back
(even though the date we mentioned two weeks ago was only a tentative
date to start with). The album is now scheduled to come out on MAY 5
in the UK and MAY 6 in North America (international dates have not
been confirmed yet, but it will probably be May 6 as well). I guess we
don't need to tell you that these dates are also tentative and subject
to change.

We can also give you the working titles of all the tracks scheduled to
appear on the album. From the way things look now, 11 songs from the
Sparkle Lounge will be making their way to your CD player:

NINE LIVES
C'MON C'MON
GO
LOVE
CRUISE CONTROL
BAD ACTRESS
HALLUCINATE
TOMORROW
COME UNDONE
ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG
GIVE IT AWAY

Please note that some of these titles may still change (they're
working titles, after all) and that they are not listed in any
particular order.

And there was me thinking I was the only person still hooked up to this ng.

Aerosmith had a song called nine lives.
The Beatles last album was called Love.
James has a cd single called Tomorrow.
Come Undone is also a Robbie Williams song.
Only The Good Die Young by 45 Grave
C'mon C'mon by Sheryl Crow (as mentioned)
Give it Away - Red Hot Chill Peppers
Cruise Control - Headless Chickens

Took me 10 minutes on Amazon to find that lot, and Im sure there are
others. I'm sure most song titles these days are being used again.

Big question is what's beyond the song titles. Thats when it will get
interesting.

cheers

Mike

I think we heard "DefLep meets Country" before with Shania Twain !

Pretty much because of Mutt producing both. But if you listen
to something like Love Bites (which was a country song Mutt had),

Interesting, didn't know that or remember reading it in the "Animal"
book or whatever it was called.

and
Personal Property (which could easily be reworked into something
country)

Good point, seems I'd forgotten about the Adrenalize album, played it
so much in the day though ! I'll dig it out tomorrow.

the vibes have always been there. It's just that nowadays,
country is bigger than rock.

You know, they mentioned something relative to that in the
Classic Albums show. Just for the hell of it, they touch on smething
serious in every album. I really couldn't figure out what in On Through
the Night and High'n'Dry, but for Pyromania, it was Die Hard the Hunter
and Billy's Got a Gun. Hysteria had Gods of War. Adrenalize had White
Lightning.I actually need to get Slang again to figure out which one
there, and pull out Euphoria to do the same. X had Now.

But it's interesting that they've always done something like
that.

Taken from...

http://stephen-hawkings.blogspot.com/2008/02/burundi-black.html

This track is concidered to be one of the first disco songs ever. I
think it's far more than that. Anhow, this was made in 1971 and sounds
just as fresh today.

In 1971 Mike Steiphenson grafted an arrangement for guitars and
keyboards onto the Ocora recording for Barclay Records, and the result
was Burundi Black, a seven inch that sold more than 125,000 copies and
made the British best-seller charts. In 1978, Barclay released a twelve
inch version.

In 1981, the track was re-released on Barclay and Cachalot records. This
time, Rusty Egan, drummer with the new romantic band Visage, and a
French record producer named Jean-Philippe Iliesco recorded a new pop
arrangement over the Burundian drummers.

Mike Steiphenson holds the Burundi Black copyright. Adam and the Ants,
Bow Wow Wow, and several other bands have made hits with the Burundi
beat as a rhythmic foundation. The Burundian drummers who made the
original recording are not sharing in the profits. In any case, as the
Jamaican recording industry and the Amen break cases have shown,
obtaining copyright for a rhythm is a difficult proposition.

By the way.. Anyone here heard of a band called Burundi(sp?) Black?
Apparently, they had the tomtom drum rolls that Joe got the idea for
for Rocket.
