I can't wait to try it. Maybe alongside some SN Torpedo.

Yes, was thinking the same thing.

Every SN IPA must use the same baseline of Hops to start out with as it
is the easiest brew to ID at first taste. I really like the extra
Citrus flavor that the Torpedo provides.

Torpedo screams, "Sierra Nevada!" However, I think the hops are
mostly new varieties for SN -- though they could be derived from the
more familiar Cascades, Centennials, Chinook, etc. Before SN came out
with Torpedo, they had a really great (though not as good as Torpedo)
seasonal IPA, which tasted unmistakably as a SN beer -- even though it
was made w/ English hops.

SN used to have an amazing seasonal bottled pale bock. Even that,
though it was (unusually for SN at the time) a lager, and one that
employed German hops, yelled, "Sierra Nevada."

recreate a consistent Celebration batch each year now.

I still haven't tasted this year's, but recent years have been very
consistent. In the 80s and 90s it varied a bit; hop varieties and
overall intensity fluctuated. Some years it had a mellower hop
attack, which disappointed me.
