"I don't like pro tools, generically speaking. The music was made
'organically': no 'keyboards' were used, for example, for a keyboard
is a device with many alphanumeric keys used for entering text."
"Maybe Hegel was kind of playing at being British, right?"
"King heroin, obviously."
"Two records: private and public. Why would you try as hard in private
life, anyway?"
"The Republic is the same at all points."
"Racism? It's bad, people."
"You know what, George M. Cohan was kind of like the first 'indie-
rocker'."
"France is way oppressive, people. That's why people live so long with
hang-dog faces and fail to be 'nize' to 'babies'."
"The torture-table for people of partial Jewish ancestry could be over
and done with in ten seconds: 'But of course.'"
"'Quick Canal'? The Metro, of course. Or maybe Marta."
"Working with Laetitia was great. I told her about all the French
pornography I looked at and told her to sing as horribly as she could.
I think she mailed the vocal track in a manila envelope."
"But it's the song we worked the least hard on, obviously."
"I'm not going to lie or sugar-coat while we're away from the text,
'Logos' references the Lou Reed 'AIDS' song on *New York*. The
dissolution of a dream of socialist reason, the amplification of death
and destruction for no reason other than reinforcing insanity. Or
that's the intellectual feeling you might have in a state of
'controlled and educated freedom' like in the Fifth Republic, anyhow."
"A love letter to Althusser, for, well, trying." |

"Oh, they marked it down to $11.99. That means they want it to 'move'.
A number of possible reasons. Actually, it's ranked #487 in sales, out
of the 20,000-some records they sell. And still, 'I can't have a cent
from it'? Oh, you're "warming up" for something: I'll let you; the
Internet monitoring (of course there *always* is, to some extent) here
is 'warming up' to seeing what they have been *looking right at*." |

Actually, *now that I remember it*, I think the *money* from the
record was dedicated to an organization which was to be called, I
believe, something like "Committee for the Beautification of the Grave
of Mia Zapata". Its goals were to be limited. On the other hand, *it
is at least possible* to get monetary compensation for at least *some*
of one's labors. |
