Just as if Hitler were here I'd be kicking his ass--he's telling me about
16mm.
Do the math. 16 - Super 8 = More than 8.
Personally? I'd like to start a social revolution. Think of it as
"objectivity." So you have 16mm on the website. Hey look, can I disembowel
the entire film community? I mean the ENTIRE world's catalogue of film? I'm
mot being a wiseguy. I'm asking you. Can I do it?
I know with Nuclear Warrior I certainly can. But they haven't taken an
interest in that. They have taken tremendous interest in my Super 8 world.
NW, no. The Wereo, no. Look, I'm the only one who brought a tape-recorder to
a concert that was bigger and better than Woodstock, the 1974 California
Jam. How can that be? How?
I'm mot the smartest guy in the world. (He lives a few doors down) Like the
great Rob Dwyer said, "little did Scott know what he was doing at the Jam."
That's an understatement. Do you know what I did at the Jam? I made "the
only three hours of 1970s radio that matters" from it.
Then I had a Super 8 movie camera. Now he's telling me about 16mm. I don't
know how to shoot a 16mm camera! Does anyone know how, because I shure
don't?
Does 16mm come with sound? I'm talking about the early 1970s. I know they
looked kind of weird, and probably a lot more expensive and intricate than
Super 8 was. Super 8 was simple. You popped in the film, you popped in the 2
(or 4) AA's, grabbed hold of your trigger and zoom bar, and you were a
filmmaker! There was nothing to do except pull the trigger and adjust your
zoom bar, and who couldn't do that?
Now I'm worried about these 16mm things. Do they still shoot with 16mm? I
heard they still shoot in Super 8s "with sound" but they only make asshole
films these days with their Super 8s with sound and their 16mms too.
