Which one was it? Did you ever seem them live in the 70s?

Floyd Off, Raja!

Did you ever seem them live in the 70s?

- No, not even in the '90s. Just Gilmour, RIP Wright & Co. in '06 and
Waters in '07.

7/6/77 Montreal has got to be in the top 5.

Lots of really good ones.

May 9, 1977 - band in top form, and the wildcard of the historic final
performance of "Careful with that Axe, Eugene"

January 20, 1972 - The very first performance of what would later become
"Dark Side of Moon"

April 29, 1970 - Ceiling mounted microphones make for a
better-than-soundboard recording, plus the band really stretched the
boundaries. Also, one of only three standalone recordings of
"Grantchester Meadows" known.

May 1, 1970 - The newly surfaced (about a 18 months ago) master, which
sounds amazing, especially for an audience tape. The band is again
really on fire, and "A Saucerful of Secrets" and - most of all -
"Interstellar Overdrive" are fantastic.

October 17, 1971 - Arguably, the best ever version of "Careful with that
Axe, Eugene" and (no argument here) "Fat Old Sun" and "Atom Heart Mother"

April 3, 1971 - Very long performance, and the band really pushes the
envelope, turning in a 30+ minute performance of "Atom Heart Mother" and
a positively insane 26+ minute freakout of "A Saucerful of Secrets," the
latter featuring the only known Pict rant from Roger ever.

November 15,1972 - Most people consider the versions of "Careful with
that Axe, Eugene" and "Echoes" (Roger announces it as "Looking Through
the Knotholes in Granny's Wooden Leg) found on here the best in their
entire career.

March 11, 1973 - A personal favorite, as the sound quality is wonderful
full stereo, the band had not yet gotten bored with the finished version
of "Dark Side of the Moon" they were performing, and it also happens to
have my personal favorite performance of "Careful with that Axe, Eugene."

April 26, 1975 - The boys sound wonderful on the only known Mike Millard
recorded performance. Roger is already beginning to sound testy,
especially when he cusses out security at the end of the first set.

March 18, 1973 - Stunning sound quality, and the boys turn in my
favorite performances of both "Set the Controls for the Heart of the
Sun" and "One of these Days."

June 17, 1981 - The final performance of "The Wall," and the last time
all four performed live until Live8. Roger is in a particularly wicked
mood, and the band performs as if they really know it will be their last
time on stage.

LOL
The best Pink Floyd show ever for me was the only one I went to,
the one in 1994, in Vancouver BC.
We did see Waters in 2000, but the 1994 was awesome.

DSOTM.

It wasn't in vain. You gave a good list of shows I'd like to hear.

Whew!
At least there was something to gain after all.
btw...I could direct you to where to get most of the recordings I mentioned.
If you can't get them there, I could be persuaded to make them
downloadable to you, as I remember you from when I was a far more
regular poster on here a couple of years ago.

Please do! Email me.
This group seemed to deteriorate around the time Raja showed up.
Coincidence, I'm sure.

Hi all...I haven't posted in here for years.....hope you all don't mind me
showing up unannounced.

I saw Gilmour's Floyd in 1988 (I think that's the year, the MLOR tour, in
Australia). Then I saw Roger Waters in early 2007. I thought the RW show was
more of a Floyd experience than the rest of the guys in the 80's.

Unfortunately, I can only wish I'd seen them in the 70's and especially
their Syd days in 66-67.

Since I am unsure if you are using a valid e-mail on here, I will just
tell you on here.
http://www.yeeshkul.com
Create an account on there, carefully read their FAQ (it has tons of
useful information on how to use bittorrent and ratio requirements),
then get yourself a bittorrent client if you don't already have one.
If you know bittorrent already, you already have a pretty good idea what
to do.
If not, I can give you all kinds of pointers on there.
And, yes, I use the same nick on there as on here.

Hi

My favorite and only PF show was 1994 in Vancouver BC and it was freakin
awesome. Did see Roger in Wa State in an outdoor arena and it was way cool
too. I've met 10 members of this group In The Flesh over the years and
they've been decent enough people.
Nice to see ya again
Kyla
