In a recent UK radio interview with Chris Squire, he indicated that
the fans seemed to just love both the new additions (BD and OW) and
that there were no complaints at all from anyone he could see. He
also slurred something about waiting a respectful period of time
before calling this band Yes.
Holy 'if I hide my eyes, it's not there', Batman. This guy is a
bigger buffoon than I ever could have suspected. Well at least he
pulled his head out long enough to get on the radio to let some
potential concerts goers know who is in the band.
Maybe he's learned a trick from the internets and just blocked those
things of reality that he doesn't have the stones to deal with. Or
maybe he *is* the Ostrich!

I really don't care. Listen, you COSSHF, if I was any one of those
guys, concern for how the bills would be paid would have been
permanently put to rest about 37 years ago.
Quote: Will you hire the remains of the band to help you pick up trash?
no...they simply are not qualified. But even if they were, I know
they wouldn't be able to handle the volume. We're talkin' about some
guys who work for small numbers of customers, you COSSHF...they
wouldn't know how to act if faced with my customer count.

no, Chris Squire is the Ostrich, you COSSHF...that is when he's not
busy being Sousy Spice.

Well that seems like a good idea seeing as they were trying out a new

Yup, there's more of that non-existant touring lineup info that you
keep tripping up over.

it's probably best that he avoids reviews and the various online
forums where complaints might show up. It's also good that nobody
around him breathes a word...what he doesn't won't hurt him...and all
that.

What is puzzling is how the ownership of the name Yes seems to bounce
around so much. One day, a member owns the name, the next day, they
don't. Does Anderson still have a stake in the name? Then he would be
receiving compensation for this tour, if not, did he just sell it to
the others because he was short on money? |

The Ostrich has indicated something to the effect of the name falling
to whoever might be around at any given point in time. I don't know
how a contract can be put together around that sort of framework, but
I suspect that it comes down to the reality that spending on a legal
challenge couldn't pay off even if the party who's been put out were
to prevail. Let's face it, using the Yes name to _pack the house_
with a whopping 1500 (or so) a show, might seem great to HSW guys who
can hardly draw 100 to a show without the name, but it doesn't seem
like it should be enough to run up a lot of legal fees trying to stop
it.

Hasn't really bounced around at all. Squire has held the basic claim
to the band name since the legal battles during the ABWH days, as he's
never "left the band".
"Yes 97 LLC" was the company name for some time, owned by the main
four, but that seems to have ended after 2004. Note that they all have
said Jon is still a member of Yes, no matter who is singing. |

Note that Yesworld lists JA under "alumni" and Squire has said in

This is not entirely clear. However, it appears that Yes LLC, that is
Yes as a corporate thing, is owned by Howe/Squire/White, with Anderson
and Wakeman having sold their shares back in 2004.
I don't know if Anderson was short of money or not, but he's certainly
not averse to getting it!
