We are still trying to track down my son's Selmer Mk VII alto sax. This horn
was stolen on Saturday, March 14, 2009. It was taken from an Amtrak train
somewhere between Penn Station and Hudson, New York between the hours of
3:00 pm and 5:20 pm. Here are the missing items:
Selmer Mark VII Alto saxophone, serial number 241508
Walt Johnson alto saxophone case , black with lots of stickers
Ray Hymen neck strap
Kiwi New York Neck Pack
Brilhart Ebolin 5* alto saxophone mouthpiece
Bondade alto saxophone ligature
This theft has been reported to Amtrak, police agencies and insurance
carriers. This crime constitutes grand larceny in New York state. The
perpetrator will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
This instrument will resurface in a music store or a pawn shop.
It is a crime to deal in stolen merchandise. We want this horn back.
Information relating to the return of this instrument will be held in
confidence.
Email or call 518 794 8436.

Sorry to hear about this, Joe. I saw a post on Craigslist from someone
who bought a "hot" guitar for $10 and was advertising to find it's
rightful owner. I hope you get a similar break.

First thing I'd do is check to see if Steve Goodson was a passenger on

it has been a while since the theft.
I imagine that it would be difficult to recover that kind of item.
Insurance should cover it and... then just move on.
sorry for your loss.... |

Hey Joe,
Sorry for your loss. I hope you recover it or that insurance
covers everything. I love Selmers. Does your son have a horn to play
in the intirum? I have a really nice pro Yamaha alto with a Meyers 6
mouth piece that I would be happy to send you for him to use until he
recovers his or gets a new one. I'm not playing it much and it should
be played.
