Bornholm - March for Glory and Revenge - really good blackish metal

You're clearly deaf as well as stupid. All I hear is a faster paced
Immortal influence and some absolutely killer riffs. It came as a
surprise and I am loving it.

The first song was reasonably interesting, after that it became mid paced
latter Satyicon sort of thing and bored the arse off me. I will confess that
I didn`t make it to the end though.
Yet you don't hear the Immortal influence. Mid-paced? It's
considerably faster than the new Immortal. Satyricon has never come
up with the decent riffs that are on this record. This is why it came
as such a surprise as I was expecting more necro nonsense.

Well, there we are...I much prefer that progressive, atmospheric BM than I

Most of the new BM that I have been listening to is that progressive
type, I just found the Wodensthrone and Drudkh just not enjoyable as
the BUN, or the Arthemesis.

The pace of the Gorgoroth makes me think the same. If it didn't

Do you like early Immortal?
Not as much as the later stuff.
Just to see if you have a point I am currently listening to Satryicon
- Age of Nero and nothing reminds me of the Gorgoroth. Queued up next
is the Gorgoroth. The Satryicon has it's moments, but over all it's
fairly tedious stuff. I am quite looking forward to the Gorgoroth to
come on and pick up the pace a bit.
Quote:

I`ll go back to Arthemesis, I had a bunch of new stuff to listen to and it
didn`t grab me enough to last the distance, some of the songs took
un-necessarily long to get going...but it could well be the sort of thing
that needs a couple of decent listens.
I don't tend to mind when bands go all slow and ambient. It's the
prog fan coming out. I suspect I'll go through some of these releases
again, but I still have lots to go through and sometimes I am just not
in the mood for new stuff.

I am not having sloppy seconds, even if you have sucked him dry.
He`s normally worked his way through a couple of men`s locker rooms by the
time I get to him...be grateful for what he can give you!
Not if you've been near him. He tells me he still hasn't got rid of
that rash you gave him, despite the cream you so kindly provided.

Bornholm - March for Glory and Revenge - really good blackish metal
Arthemesis - AOA - OKish but got bored after a few tracks
Man Must Die - No Tolerance for Imperfection - first 3 songs sounded
pretty
good but I wasn`t really in the mood for it.
Porcupine Tree - The Incident - not as boring as I expected but I still
only
lasted 3/4 of the album.
Raven`s Creed - Albion Thunder - good old school fun
Winterfylleth - The Ghost of Our Heritage - another great English black
metal band.
Gorgoroth - Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt - rreminds me of recent
Satyicon and as such got deleted.
Kroda - Cry to Me, River
Ensiferum - From Afar - I love this!
You would - it's utter shit.
I wouldn`t expect you to like it.- Hide quoted text -

It's among my albums of the year. |

Quote: The pace of the Gorgoroth makes me think the same. If it didn't
remind me of Immortal and was just another necro raw outing I wouldn't
be interested in it in the slightest.
Do you like early Immortal?
Quote: Most of the new BM that I have been listening to is that progressive
type, I just found the Wodensthrone and Drudkh just not enjoyable as
the BUN, or the Arthemesis.
I`ll go back to Arthemesis, I had a bunch of new stuff to listen to and it
didn`t grab me enough to last the distance, some of the songs took
un-necessarily long to get going...but it could well be the sort of thing
that needs a couple of decent listens.

I think I would rather succumb to Noodles sexual advances than listen
to Ensiferum, certainly less painful.
Isn`t that something you`re normally quite happy to do anyway?
Hardly, as you're invariably already in position and begging to be
taken.
Noodle goes all night, join the queue, douse him down when he`s done and
dive in.

Maybe you try again in a week. Admittedly you've never liked the
band, so it's going to be hard pressed for you to really like them.
I normally like them for about 10 minutes and then I`m dulled. I gave this a
go because it`s been getting a lot of good reviews.
Quote: Enslaved - Vertebrae - really enjoyed this after a stint away from it
Since I grew to like it, I've not had any problems enjoying it.
I`ve always liked it but I guess I have such high expectations from Enslaved
it didn`t meet them originally. Really enjoyed it yesterday. |
