Just looking for some opinions here: Having spent the last month
digesting the remasters and comparing all the various CD versions
(1987, Yellow Sub songtrack, Capitol albums, remasters), I have come
to the conclusion that I much prefer all of the YSS versions to the
remastered versions. Yes, it could be thought of as sacreligious to
tamper with the masters, but for simple listening-in-the-phones
pleasure, I defy anyone to disagree that comparing, say, the new and
YSS versions of All You Need Is Love and Eleanor Rigby, is like
comparing a grape with a sultana.

Oh, and likewise, I think the de-Spectorised versions of Let It Be,
Across The Universe, I Me Mine and The Long And Winding Road on Let It
Be Naked surpass any other versions. And the stereo version of You
Know My Name from Anthology 2.

Any thoughts, people?
