Really green novice here, trying to get started. Have been listening to MIDI
files for years,
really enjoying them and am determined to try my hand at creation. Have
acquired an old (but clean) Yamaha
PSR 280, a no-name usb midi interface, and am using a laptop with vista home
premium 64 bit operating system.
Slogging through the internet (googling), I finally found a 64 bit
driver for the no-name interface that
appears to work, but now find Anvil Studio (free version, I'm pretty cheap)
that I was trying to use, does not support
64 bit operating systems.
Has anyone had experience with free, or low cost midi sequencing (and
playing too, I assume) software with 64 bit combat ability? I see that Korg
and some other high-end companies are dealing with 64 bit problems, but not
in my price range.
Thanks for any tips!
