That's true, but the used cd's I bought were from 2000-2009. I don't think
any are out of print, they're just cheaper used.

You'd be surprised how fast some go out of print. Especially those
on real small indie labels.

Of the 9 albums they've released since Keepers II, I think 3 of them
aren't
very good.
Just three? I thought the numbers ran higher, like 7 >were mostly
forgettable.

Sticking my oar in...

Walls of Jericho and 2 Keeper albums - awesome
Pink Bubbles Go Ape - couple of good songs but mostly filler with some
shite.
Chameleon - a fetid boil on the un-washed arse of humanity.
Master of the Rings - vast improvement, lots of great stuff but still
nowhere near the early work
The Time of the Oath - apart from one really awful song this album is
excellent
Better Than Raw - an all rounder...nothing great, nothing awful, just
consistently decent
Metal Jukebox - throwaway covers album
The Dark Ride - totally awesome
Rabbit Don`t Come Easy - solidly enjoyable for the most part but nothing
special
Keeper III - perhaps overlong but generally really good
Gambling With the Devil - one of their best albums, excellent.

I think the last one I ever saw was Better than Raw. If that's the
one with the Witch on the cover.

If you were never much of a fan of them to begin with, then sure, 7 is more
like it.

Yeah, that would be the case. I liked the first Keys album a lot,
the second one to a lot lessor degree, and then they sort of went
away. Yeah I like the Judas EP and Walls of Jericho as well, but these
were before, not after.

I agree with all the above. I do like 'Giants' and 'Music' from Chameleon
though.

I think 'Midnight Sun' is the best song they've done in the Deris years.
There's a shitload of awesome guitar in that song! 'Revelation' isn't far
behind.

I find 'All Over The Nations' and 'If I could Fly to be utter shit. The rest
is great. Roy Z can't record drums to save his life.

I like 'Liar'. The rest I found forgettable. It's due for another attempt
though. Maybe I'll like it now...doubt it.

Yep.

I preferred Keepers III, but this is still solid.

I should be so fortunate to find that sort of selection in the Used

around here will give up the CD's often.

In a separate posting on the MEGADETH forum, Mustaine reveals his
disdain for the U.S. branch of Roadrunner Records for allegedly
dropping the ball in regards to the promotion of the band's new album,
"Endgame".

He writes, "I don't know what to say. How a record company could be
presented with a worldwide critically acclaimed record, and that they
can let it plummet down the charts in just four weeks into the
hundreds, is inexplicable.

"I knew I shouldn't have done this. Why didn't I trust myself?

"I regret a lot of things in my life, but this is the most
regrettable."

"Endgame" has sold around 72,000 copies in the United States since its
release four weeks ago. The CD has registered the following U.S.
weekly sales, according to Nielsen SoundScan:

Week 1: 44,696
Week 2: 12,833
Week 3: 8,640
Week 4: 5,583

Week 5- 3,900 something.

A couple "what if" questions for Wyrd.

If Mustaine isn't happy with that, then Marduk must be really

I forgot Malevolent Creation - The Will To Kill.

I received my ordered cd's in the mail today:

Gwar - Lust In Space
Grave Digger - Ballads Of A Hangman
Almah - Fragile Equality
Skyclad - In The...All Together
Rebellion - Sagas Of Iceland
Rebellion - Miklagard

All that should tide me over for a bit. Next month I have 3 concerts and a
bunch of video games to get. I might have to wait on the games though as
they are expensive.

I never buy video games until they drop in price...although Left4Dead 2 will
tempt me. There are loads I still have to catch up on that are cheap
anyway...by the time I have them the likes of Brutal Legend, Halo OSDT and
Modern Warfare 2 will have dropped in price. I watched the clip for Dante`s
Inferno the other night, that looks fun.

I just modded my console and play all the games before they come out
in the stores for the price of a dvd or in some cases just the trouble
of flashing a micro sd card. I put enough money into the video game
companies pockets the last 30 years or so I don't feel bad at all.

Games take forever to drop in price here. I usually can't wait. Right now
we're getting screwed since our dollar isn't too different than the US
dollar, but games are $10 more. They used to be the same price earlier in
the year. Brutal Legend is worth the money for a Metal fan (I finished it
the other night).
