(Palm Beach Post) - "Black Gives Way to Blue" (Amazon.com:
http://xrl.us/BlackBlue ) is an example of what a talented
band, with 50 percent 75 percent of its original elements
still intact and some new talent, is able to crank out.
It’s a thought-provoking album and acknowledges the loss of
their front man, Layne Staley, in the title song. It’s the
kind of sentiment you can feel in your gut. Couple Elton
John’s piano skills with soft Jerry Cantrell lyrics and you
get tears..
