I remember when he was a sports commentator on the BBC.
I assume this was somewhere in between his football
(soccer) career
and his his career as a prophet/nutcase?

He played in goal for Coventry IIRC and when he retired became a TV football
pundit...before going mental. I remember him being interviewed by Wogan
saying he was the son of God and that the world was run by lizard people.
The audience were in hysterics. Keep meaning to read some of his stuff, if
nothing else it sounds a laugh.

yeah that pretty much sounds right.  I'm reading the "guide to the
worldwide conspiracy (and how to end it)" which I picked up since it
looked like some bugged out robert anton wilson conspiracy lit, but
instead its nutso new age shit feeding into crazy conspiracy shit,
although based on the research I've done it seems like the crazy
conspiracy shit came before the nutso new age shit and that's like his
new thing he's using to attempt to back up his theories.  Definitely
worthy of a few incredulous chuckles at the least.

Most conspiracy theories are great for a chuckle and when you dig a
little deeper into most you'll find the instigators are on the gravy
train with book deals, talks, DVD's etc, so it's in their self
interest to keep things going. Fuck the facts, keep the dosh rolling
in.

My favourite one has to be the moon landings. Utter comedy gold.

I watched a documentary on Icke after reading AMS last night, have to say I
warmed to the guy considerably! Still can`t buy his crazy theories though,
some of what he says in the broader sense is fine but all this stuff about
the world being run by a secret organization of lizard people stretching
back for thousands of years is, well, crazy. Can`t say I buy into any
conpsiracy theories at all, yeah, the moon landing one is particularly
silly...I guess I could possibly believe that the royal family wanted to
bump off Diana but I don`t believe they`d actually be able to get away with
it!

I would define mid period as BTR through Chaos AD.  Actually listened
to Evile the debut today and liked it more than I remembered.  Didn't
get to the new one yet though.

I would say there was a big shift from Arise to Chaos.  Arise is the
last Sep album I will listen to.

Chaos was the beginning of the end.

Chaos was the end for me.
