The first three were great. They then had a long period of getting lighter
and more experimental. They decided to get heavy again with the last album
and the new one continues where that left off.

Probably a good way to be introduced to the band. It's a double cd with a
pile of great songs. It's too bad they decided to pack it in this year.

You'd probably like some mid-period Paradise Lost between 'Icon' (1993) and
'In Requiem' (2007).

I have a few of their albums that I quite like a lot. I haven't given
the new one a listen though.

I gave up on Paradise Lost years ago when they started sounding like a bad
Sisters of Mercy. I didn`t like their realy early stuff but the 3rd and 4th
albums ( I think ) were pretty good.

I listened to the Pantheon I also in the last few days. Can't
remember too much about it, other than it deserved further
investigation. Then again I have heard lots of new stuff in the last
few days/week some of is bound to be forgotten.

I've never really listened to them. I've heard a song or two of
theirs covered by other bands.

There's a time and place for all bands to pack it in. Too bad some
of them don't realize it yet.

It's got to be hard to have your listening time cut down so much.
