Yeah, since Singletary's coach now, are you a 49er fan, LOL?
I gotta hand it to him, when he called the D over and gave em a college pep
talk, it helped! The game turned around at that point. One of the few times
you actually SEE a coach make a difference on the field.
Hill was awesome on that last TD drive too.
When the NFC champs shut down your running game, and you still win ---
that's sure a good sign. Should be a fun season for The Faithful. |

Absolutely!
But I ain't no different than most. I bet if you asked 100 random
Chicagoans who their second favorite NFL team is 150 of them (it is Chicago,
after all) would say the San Francisco 49ers.

Ya gotta love the passion and how he had turned them into a team of
over-achievers.

A tad better than Jay Cutler's debut...

Not this Chicagoan Zeke. I prefer the old raider and the steelers. I
like the niners when they beat the cowboys in the 80's. After that i
got just a tired of them as the Cowboys.

I dig Samurai and I think he's doing a great job. Prior to him
coaching there though, I can't say the niners were a fav of mine or
anyone i know in the Chicago area.
Zeke, you rock this world and always will! |

Yup, and that was Mr. Burt's original point.
But nowadays they are a fav and I bet you'll be rooting for 'em DOUBLE this
Sunday!

Gonna be a tough one this week. If they can beat the Vikings, I'll be
convinced. |

Man, what a heartbreaker. Two seconds to go, unbelievable.
I'm not convinced the 49ers will win the Superbowl. But they're playing at
a level that nobody would have expected, or even guessed (or dared to hope
for) just a few onths ago. Singletary is a very special breed of person.

Gary Kubiak?
Poor guy.
I think I saw him play once, mopping up in the 4th qtr.
Then again, he made good money and never got face-planted!

There you go - rub it in. :)
There was talk down here that Singletary was REAL interested in the
job when Kubiak was hired but he was found to not have enough
experience at that point in time. LOL.
But hey, when Shaub goes down we've always got Rex.
Of course, the talk of the town now is the Coogs and Case Keenum. That
was some game Saturday night against Texas Tech. |

Ah...the old "not enough experience" school of thought. That's a full
class, that one. A full class attended by incredibly incompetant management
in every industry the world over. Oh well, Houston's loss is San
Francisco's gain...

Rex is OK. I mean, at least he gots arm. Rex was run out of Chicago by the
brain dead Chgo fan base who screamed so loudly that Lovie had no choice but
to bench Rex and go w/Kyle Orton. KYLE ORTON! I mean, GET REAL. Kyle
Orton? LOL! What's that tell ya about the brain power of yer average Bears
fan? LMAO!

The PTI boys were calling him a Heisman candidate this afternoon...

Mr Zeke: I am questioning your football IQ right now. Rex was too
small. Rex did not try to improve himself. Rex could not get the
snap from the friggin' center!!
That is Football 101.
To be able to start the play by getting the ball from the center! Rex
Sucked! Big Time! Gimmie Jimmy harbaugh, Mike T Zack or even Eric
Kramer over that fucking loser.
Orton is an average to mediocre QB with good work habits and a desire
to improve. And he can get the snap!
Cutler is the real deal. He has the skills. He has the smarts. He
has the drive. It has only been four games, but it has been fun
watching him.
We aint brain dead. It would be nice to get the snap from the center
on a consistent basis. That was one of Rex's many issues.

LOL, KrEEEEEach! Running for a plane so yeah Rex had issue but he also had
arm and made some dasm nice plays. My bottom line is if you're going to
remove him get somebody who can throw more than 12 feet. Gonna be watching
Bears/Lions with my oldest tomorrow but won't have Usenet access for a week,
so see you'll then.
