I have obtained a rare 16mm film of the Beatles in concert and I'm
trying to ID the date and location. This film is black & white and
was shot possibly for broadcast. The location is a stadium or arena.
I would guess this to be circa ‘64. They play 6 songs, including I
saw Her Standing There and Twist and Shout.

At the opening of the film, the band has taken the stage and is still
in the process of setting up their equipment. As the crowd screams
throughout, either Ringo or George actually pushes the drum stand into
position. There are no roadies. The band is doing everything
themselves. During two of the songs, Paul encourages the crowd to
clap and stomp their feet, and John kicks the stage, mocking the
audience.

Any help appreciated.

Thank you! I’ve done some research in the mean time, and this is the
Washington DC show. As you know a very famous video that has been
circulated and issued in many forms. What I’m trying to learn now is
the uniqueness of the 16mm film I have.

The films begins with the group taking the stage and Ringo the only
member being introduced. The songs are Roll Over Beethoven, From Me
to You, I Saw Her Standing There, then goes to Twist and Shout before
I Wanna Be Your Man. The film appears uncut except for Twist And
Shout which ends early. There is no damage or splices.

Any feedback on the version is appreciated. Thanks.
