Hmm...maybe my luck at the casinos will change with a Monkees slot
machine. The area casinos here have slots built around "I Dream of
Jeannie," which plays the "Jeannie" theme whenever it pays, so wonder
what Monkee muzak tunes will be part of the Monkee slots? Big win "Daydream Believer?" Lose all your money = "Last Train to
Clarksville?" |

I have both and don't spend a lot of time on either. But I've had quite a
few high school friends find me, which was nice, and also have gotten
several business inquiries through Facebook.
If you have any kind of business that relies on the search engines, it's an
absolute necessity to be on all of them.
Twitter is the one that leaves me cold, though.

I hadn't really jumped on the twitter (ahem) revolution but took a
look at the postings by Nez. Wonder if he still reads through the
postings on the newsgroups? I went ahead and signed up for a twitter
account but not sure how often I'll use it. I have a myspace account
and not sure if I have a facebook account. I'll likely be an
infrequent twitter user as it's mostly fast quips from what I can see,
and I'm not really one for that! LOL! |

I will admit, I found my long-lost Godson on Facebook...so it's worth the
pain...

Yeah, I sure don't understand the "buzz" surrounding twitter. I mean, I
could do the same thing with a blog. I haven't found any use for
Facebook, either. Myspace can be mildly interesting, but I prefer emails
and face to face combat....uh, I mean, contact!! |

I'd like to ask Nez a couple of questions, of subjects that have been
discussed here (by me, mostly) and have never gotten a satisfactory
answer to those questions. Of course, he might not be all that
interested in answering even though it does pertain to his music. |

The trouble with Twitter is that you can follow anybody, but unless they
follow you back, you can't talk to them.
I doubt if he will follow all his fans back. In fact, that's why it makes
no sense to me. These people follow tens of thousands sometimes...it's a
mark of honor to have as many followers as you can get, and you have to
follow them back. So obviously, you can't "FOLLOW" anybody.
So either you only follow about 10 people, or you use some other service
like I do, Friendfeed.com that you can pick and choose which tweets you even
see.
It's ridiculous.

Yes. Thereby allowing the art of discrimination. ...as in,
discriminating taste.

And that's a shame. Twitter is in a sense a stage for someone to talk
to others but it doesn't necessarily mean the twitterer wants a
response. And the short quips basically remind me of one liners,
although the majority of twitter one liners are about as unfunny as
you can get.

That's true.

So far, I haven't been able to find that many I want to follow. Some
I'm interested in are supposed to have a twitter account where you can
read their exploits or comments but the search engine returns no
results, and I've found no results on other non-celebrity interests,
so twitter is kind of a dull place for me to visit. |

What's next? A First National Band slot machine that plays "Rodan"
instead of "Joanne"? |
