Most people don't know that the show was delayed by rain, The Who came on at
4:00 AM Sunday morning, and Jimi Hendrix, the one that everyone seems to
regard as the icon of the Woodstock Festival, played on Monday morning in
front of about 14,000 people. That's because the show was over and most
everyone had gone home.
Now you know. |

A festival attended by hippie vermin and spoiled rotten little brats
from New York city.

Thankfully, I hadn't been born yet into that horrific left wing era.
An era that signaled the slow downfall of the U.S. |

Then you're way too young to know what really happened. You really
shouldn't rely on what you hear from the likes of Rush Limbaugh, who
probably is just pissed because he couldn't get laid in that era of
"free love."

Those hippies were nothing but pure evil and all powerful. They forced Nixon
to resign and forced the world's greatest military to surrender to the
Vietnamese Communists. That's why they're to blame for eeverything.
If it wasn't for the hippies losing us that war in Vietnam, we'd have trade
relations with Vietnam, and China would be a country that we would be doing
business with, perhaps even borrowing money from to support our freedom loving
society. Who knows? Perhaps we'd even be allowed to go to Moscow and see
the Kremlin. But Noooo! The Hippies forced us to back off and now we can't
do any of that good stuff. |

Bit jealous, goober?
Back then, "Get Lost" was a teenager in Canada with pictures of Richard Nixon
on his bedroom wall. He ated that song "Drug Store Truck Driving Man" by
Joan Baez(Written by Roger McGuinn and Gram Parsons) sung in honor of the
Governor of California, Ronald Reagan.
He's a drug store truck drivin' man
He's a head of the Ku Klux Klan
When summer comes rolling around
We'll be lucky to get out of town
He's been like a father to me
He's like the only DJ you can hear after three
And I'm an all night singer in a country band
And if he don't like me, he don't understand
He's a drug store truck drivin' man
He's a head of the Ku Klux Klan
When summer comes rolling around
We'll be lucky to get out of town
He's got him a house on the hill
And he can play country records till you've had your fill
He's a lawman?s' friend, he's an all night DJ
Sure don't think much like the records he plays
He's a drug store truck drivin' man
He's a head of the Ku Klux Klan
When summer comes rolling around
We'll be lucky to get out of town
He don't like resistance I know
And he said it last night on a big TV show
And he's got him a medal he won in the war
It weighs five hundred pounds and it sleeps by the door
He's a drug store truck drivin' man
He's a head of the Ku Klux Klan
When summer comes rolling around
We'll be lucky to get out of town

Yeah, and they missed the greatest rock guitar performance
they could possibly have seen at the time. |

Hendrix is regarded as a primary icon of Woodstock because he was the
designated headliner of the festival.
And certainly his rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" helped his
performance to be remembered by many. |

Wrong. The Who were considered the headliners. |

But it was done by a black man.
Isn't it against your religion to have anything to do with blacks? |
