I've downloaded a bunch of tracks from these sessions years ago from a few
websites that actually had them avialable for download, and redownloaded
them from another website that had links to Rapidshare downloads that had
these tracks. Both websites were given "Cease and Desist" orders from
record labels, yet no offical release has ever been mentioned or alluded
to. There are some real jems in here, as it shows some songs in their early
stages, and also, its the only place to obtain a studio version of the fast
version of "We Will Rock You". Another great thing to get released would be
the DeLane Lea demos. "Keep Yourself Alive" is particularly interesting,
because it features an acoustic intro! I think that a majority of these
songs could be cleaned up and released, and if you left off the already
released songs (from 'At The Beeb / BBC'), you *might* be able to get the
DeLane Lea songs and the rest of the BBC songs on one disc. If need be,
stretch it into two. For an added bonus, since the version of "The Night
Comes Down" that was used on Queen's first album is actually the DeLane Lea
version, put the unreleased Roy Thomas Baker produced version on here
instead. If you want to go crazy with it, include the Smile songs on here,
as well, since one of them actually became a Queen song ("Doin' Alright"),
and Freddie actually did a remake of another ("Polar Bear") when he took
over as vocalist. Maybe you could throw that in here as well, or save it
for a "Rare Tracks" disc.
