Here we go: Make your own tracklisting for a career spanning, all
encompassing "best of" retrospective. So far, as per the website, Tracks
1 and 2 have already been decided. They are "We Will Rock You" and "We
Are The Champions". From the available remaining selections, it looks
like the songs must have been single releases.

So here we go with mine:

1. We Will Rock You
2. We Are The Champions
3. Another One Bites The Dust
4. Fat Bottomed Girls
5. Bicycle Race
6. You're My Best Friend
7. Crazy Little Thing Called Love
8. Somebody To Love
9. Bohemian Rhapsody
10. Keep Yourself Alive
11. Under Pressure
12. A Kind Of Magic
13. Radio Ga Ga
14. I Want It All
15. I Want To Break Free
16. One Vision
17. Hammer To Fall
18. Headlong
19. The Invisible Man
20. Innuendo

What I was trying to go for was 10 songs from "Queen" - "The Game", and
10 songs from "The Game"-"Innuendo". I tried to go for 2 songs from each
album. Oddly, it leaves out anything from the wonderful "Queen II",
probably my favorite Queen album, and only has 1 song from "A Day At The
Races", probably my second favorite. I balanced that by including one
song from the first album.

The later years was equally difficult, in that there were only really 5
albums I was pulling songs from, which should have made it easy to get
two songs from each, but the difficulty was in which two. I ended up
pulling 3 from "The Works", but only 1 from "Hot Space", if you really
want to count "Under Prssure" as coming from that album. Notably, my list
doesn't include anything from "Made In Heaven", but you can almost bet
the final album probably will.

Not a fan of The Show Must Go On? That's my favourite song of all time!
Conversely, I've never really liked The Invisible Man. The final
tracklist is going to really struggle to keep everyone happy, isn't it?

I had struggled quite a bit with the last couple of songs, really. I really
didn't want "Innuendo" on there, but felt it might be better than "These
Are the Days Of Our Lives"; in hindsight, maybe "The Show Must Go On" would
be a better choice. Looking at again, I'd think about subbing "The
Miracle" for "Invisible Man" and "The Show Must Go On" for "Innuendo". I'd
really like to find a way to get "Who Wants to Live Forever" on there, but
I don't know what I'd be willing to take off to make it fit.

The 20 songs part seems to be hard to stick to. I'm going to check it out
later to see if its even possible to fit the songs I listed on a CD. I
still think they're going to get stuck at 17 or 18 songs, unless they make
some pretty drastic edits.
