LOS ANGELES - Even in death, Michael Jackson's corpse wasn't safe:
Gruesome details from his autopsy were reported in a London newspaper
Monday.
The Sun of London report painted a tragic picture of a 50-year-old man
so frail he weighed only 112 pounds and whose stomach contained no food
- just semidigested pills.
Several of Jackson's ribs were broken in the frantic attempt to pump
life back into his heart. Four needle wounds were near his heart,
apparently from failed efforts to restart it by shooting adrenaline
directly into the organ.
Jackson had lost most of his hair, and his haggard face was disfigured
by 13 plastic surgeries, The Sun said.
His emaciated hips, thighs and shoulders were riddled with needle marks,
the paper said.
However, lawyers said Sunday that claims that Jackson's doctor injected
the King of Pop with a powerful painkiller just before his death are
"absolutely false."
"There was no Demerol. No OxyContin," Matt Alford, lawyer for Dr. Conrad
Murray, told the Daily News.
Instead, Murray tried desperately to save the troubled superstar, who
still had a pulse when the doctor found him unconscious in bed Thursday,
lawyers said. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation failed to revive him.
Murray was grilled by cops for three hours Saturday and was allowed to
go free. "He was very cooperative," said LAPD Officer Norma Eisenman.
Alford said Murray, who lives in Las Vegas, would stay in Los Angeles in
case the police need more from him, but that no further interviews were
scheduled.
The Los Angeles coroner's office said a preliminary investigation showed
no evidence of foul play. Toxicology tests will take weeks to complete.
A second, private autopsy was completed Sunday and may produce faster
results.
NBC reported that while no Demerol or OxyContin were found in the house,
Jackson was taking sleep aids and anti-anxiety medications.
Murray attracted suspicion by vanishing in the chaotic hours after
Jackson's death. Cops towed his car to search for evidence.
"He went to a friend's house on the advice of a previous lawyer to get
away from the press crush at the hospital," Alford said.
Jackson's family remains suspicious of Murray, according to the Rev.
Jesse Jackson, who is advising the family.
"The doctor did not confer with the family. To say, 'Here is what
happened in the last hours of your son's life,' that would have been the
courtesy," Jackson told People magazine.
"He didn't talk with the coroner. And then he was missing in action.
Finally, when he surfaced, he surfaced with a lawyer. All these are
rather bizarre actions," Jackson said. |

prescription drugs and his health for years. That's why he died.
The Demurol false rumor came from Jackson's family. They are trying to
place blame on the doctor for something that was ultimately MJ's
responsibility. |

If these details are true, it seems just about impossible that MJ could
have successfully performed those 50 concerts in a manner which would
meet expectations. |

Mmmmmm, yeah, right. The drug-dealing doctor's lawyer says that there
was no Demerol or Oxy in the house. That's why it's called "covering
your tracks."
I wonder if he flushed the stuff right there or if he took it with him
and disposed of it during that window of time when no one could find
him.

There are enough Jacko impersonators out there ("Jackson's not dead,
he traded places with one of his impersonators 15 years ago!") that I
think we'll eventually see these sequels to two Elvis-themed movies:

I was thinking the same thing. I've already seen the f'loons making death
threats on the doctor. At least they can't play the racism card they're so
