There was a theme song that I remember hearing back when I was a small
child;
We are the boys from the land of the sky,
Way out there where people never die.
We never stumble, we never fall.
We sober up on wood alcohol.
Can anyone tell me where this came from or where it was played?
Thanks, Gordon |

Thanks, Merle, this seems to be the source of the old song. I remember
hearing it sung as an opening song for some radio music group, way
back when. They must have borrowed from the song the site below
reveals, and changed the lyrics a bit.
We are the boys from the land of the sky,
Way out there where people never die.
then a few likes from the original song.

I've done some more thinking on this and I believe it does date back
to that time frame. I seem to remember it as a theme song for some
country/western group that used to broadcast over the radio station,
KWFT, Wichita Falls, Texas. There was the Herrington Trio of female
singers, and another group of male singers, but I can't remember their
stage name.
Their theme song started out;
Hello, hello, hello every body,
How do you do.
Another line or two, then...
We are the boys from the land of the sky,
Way out there where the people never die,
etc.,
