Monkee dream...

Last night, I had a dream about being in a small restaurant or club, and
Micky Dolenz was the scheduled entertainer. I walked in just as the show
was starting, and was surprised to see the keyboard player in his band
was none other than Peter Tork. They were playing kind of bluesy
material, and was very enjoyable, nice to hear them do something other
than Monkees hits. This went on for awhile, then I noticed a familiar
face had joined in on harmonies, Davy Jones. Also off to the side,
sitting in a chair, playing guitar, Mike Nesmith, but it was still
Micky's show. The other guys were there just to support him. I asked Nez
to sing Different Drum or Shelly's Blues, but he politely declined, as
this was Micky's show.

Love it!

Ah, kinda like Peter's "Milkshake" track.

What an awesome dream! I was thinking how Micky is the sole married
Monkee, and it made me kinda sad... I suppose if the guys were to
come together, it might revolve around Micky, as he is so well
balanced and he's certainly the one with the most diversified
interests IMO. The other 3 are born entertainers whereas Micky likes
science, painting, building stuff, etc.!

Sure hope your dream comes true. Smile

Hmm, I thought Mike was married. When did he and Phyllis split up? Or
was it Kathryn? I'm not really up on the personal stuff. Micky seems to
be the most active of the four these days, doing concerts, stage shows,
don't know if he is still directing, but I see him more often than the
other guys, maybe that's why I dreamed that the band would revolve
around him (or as he says on his website, "it's all about ME ME ME
ME!"). Sure wish Davy would get up hear to the NW, last saw him (as a
solo) in 1996 (saw him with the Monkees in 97). Peter was here in 2001,
Micky in 06 and 07, and Nez....sometime in the early 90's, but I didn't
know about it until long after the fact,so that doesn't count!

I thought Mike was now married to Victoria. Mike and Phyllis divorced
circa '73. But that's about it as far as knowing any personal info
about him...or the others for that matter.

Victoria? Victoria? Victoria, 'toria? Never knew there was a Victoria in
Mike's life. Now that I think back a bit, Phyllis was his first wife,
Kathryn the second. He mentions Kathryn on the back of "Live at the
Palais". After that, I'm in the dark. Davy mentions his first wife in
his book (name escapes me, but their marriage was kept secret at first),
and what was then his current wife (again, name escapes me, but I can
picture her, I think she acted as his manager in the 80's). Micky's
first wife I remember very well, Samantha Juste, what a hottie! The
second wife he barely mentions at all in his book (and judging by his
songs on "Justus", it was a very bitter divorce). Saw him and wife #3 on
some celebrity show a few years back, showing off their new home. And
Peter? He seems to have stayed a free agent.

I goofed big time with my earlier post. What I meant to write but
didn't was not knowing anything about their current personal
situations as opposed to knowing more of their personal situations in
the past. My apologies for being completely muddled and goofy.

Davy's first wife was Linda Haines and I think second wife's name was
Anita Pollenger. And hottie doesn't even begin to describe Samantha
Juste: in the dictionary entry for beauty, there should be a picture
of her. Peter's first wife was a girl named Jody, whom he was married
to for only a short time. I've never been sure as to whether he was
married to Reine Stewart; some accounts say yes whereas other accounts
say no or had them as common law (which I didn't think was an option
in California).

And contrary to Glen A. Baker's book (can't think of the title at the
moment) Reine Stewart was NOT the daughter of Jommy Stewart. Don't
know either if Peter was married to her (I doubt it) but I believe he
was married to one Barbara Iannoli, who is Ivan's mother. Don't know
if she is also Hallie's mother. I remember that Peter's girlfriend at
the time of the 1986 reunion was Jennifer McCloud.

Micky's second wife was named Trina and his current wife is named
Donna.

Well, as previously implied, I can't be too surprised if future things
revolve around Mr. Dolenz since it seems his personal life (at least,
what the press tells us), as well as his vocational & recreational
interests are the most , respectively, settled plus diversified -- of
the 4!

LINDA, of course!! :)

Gorgeous brunette. Maybe they can reconcile. Shoot, I'm still
thinking maybe McCartney has another shot with Jane Asher! Call me a
dreamer.

Yes, wasn't he going thru the divorce from...Anita...? At the time of
the composition of his autobiography, I mean.

I think Donna is the one! She was dreaming of marrying him before
they met! No news is good news. Yay!

Ms. McCloud made rockin' clothes for the band in the 80s, right!
Yeah!

Reine is Hallie's mother. I think there were a few sources that
wrongly referenced Reine as the daughter of actor Jimmy Stewart
besides the Baker book. I think there were also some sources that
spelled her last name as Stuart. Her dad may have been someone named
Jimmy Stewart but he wasn't the actor.

I'd think long term cohabitants would be a dangerous situation for
Nez, should he and Victoria ever split up. Can a cohabitating
relationship have something similar to a pre-nuptial clause? Also,
should either of them ever fall ill and be in need of emergency
medical help (despite Nez being a Christian Scientist), would they be
able to sign the medical papers authorizing medical treatment?
That's assuming they still live in the state of New Mexico; either
might be covered if they live in the state of California.
