This must surely be the most anticipated single of the year!

Per Buzzjack's 'Kylie & Dannii forum' :

"2 Hearts premieres on radio on Wednesday morning at 8am, and Nova FM in
Australia will be playing a sneak preview clip on Monday morning (Monday
night in the UK). The video gets its' premiere on GMTV this Wednesday."

Whether this is accurate or not, only time will tell, though...

New kylie album imminent?

26th November, two weeks after the single comes out on CD (and three
after it's out on download).

I didn't realise she was releasing the album on that date. She's
releasing the album in the week that sales normally take a massive hike
upwards. I was going to guess she'd get first week album sales of
150,000 but that might need revising upwards.

I've not had much success predicting sales recently - I thought James
Blunt would sell 300k (actually 116k), and Katie Melua 100k (54k)...

The timing *was* accurate.

Not bad, but she's done better - mind you, I was only listening to it on
a tinny tranny.

LOL.

Just heard it on Capital Radio. It's OK, but as someone calling in said
"We'll all love it in two weeks time when we've heard it 50 times!"

You should have listened to it on a larger transvestite then.

I've now heard it several times, and my reaction, like most fans views
I've read on the music forums, is mixed.

I hope it goes to #1 simply because it *is* Kylie, but it's not a song I
would buy if it was by anyone else *but* her.

I hope the rest of the album isn't like that.

Maybe they think we'll become desensitised to its blandness.

I wouldn't have said 'blandness' was the issue - after all you don't
think Goldfrapp, who this single sounds a lot like, are bland?

I think Kylie will be able to get away with one or two tracks like this
on an album - just as Nelly Furtado did with her R&B on Loose - but the
album will bomb if there's nothing for her dance/pop fans.

On a related note, I wasn't keen on 'Slow' either - I thought 'Red
Blooded Woman' would have made a far better choice for first single from
'Body Language'.

ISTM you should release your most commercial single first, in order to
maximize album sales, then risk more experimental ones afterwards.

I do think Goldfrapp are bland. They weren't when they were coming out with
stuff like Lonely Head, but the likes of Strict Machine and Ooh La La were
just blandness personified.

Surprisingly, I liked Say It Right and I heard another track by Nelly Furtado
lately but I can't remember what it was called. It was good though.

Looking back at her singles, the last one I really enjoyed was In Your Eyes.
Before that, in reverse chronological order, Some Kind of Bliss, then Put
Yourself in My Place and Confide in Me, and then What Do I Have To Do.
