Why, in God's Holy name, did Michael Mann chose
to shoot this movie on video?
You go through the trouble of providing period
costumes and sets and then you subject the
proceedings to image trail and limited contrast
ratio.
This kind of format might have worked
for a movie like Miami Vice but it is completely
out of place in Public Enemies.
The format is just not ready to supercede film
production. |
