Copyright Act (Chapter 63)
---------------------------------
"artistic work" means —
(a) a painting, sculpture, drawing, engraving or photograph, whether
the work is of artistic quality or not;
(b) a building or model of a building, whether the building or model
is of artistic quality or not; or
(c) a work of artistic craftsmanship to which neither paragraph (a)
nor (b) applies

Paragraph c means any Artistic movie videos for Erotic, Violence,
international, Art House passed Singapore's Copyright Law.

"cinematograph film" means the aggregate of visual images embodied in
an article or thing so as to be capable by the use of that article or
thing —
(a) of being shown as a moving picture; or
(b) of being embodied in another article or thing by the use of which
it can be so shown,
and includes the aggregate of the sounds embodied in a sound-track
associated with such visual images

Examples of cinematograph film based on copyright law (Chapter 63) are
Comedy, Action-packed, War based, Horror, Violence, Erotic, Love and
Romance, International and Art House as well as Cult movies which also
passed Singapore Copyright Law.

MDA is also registered under the AGC statutes online(CAP 172) to using
Singapore's Law to censor films to prevent kids and teenager to learn
bad examples from films and video where adults could just easily let
them watch these movies freely without any proper control(preventive
measures to prevent adults to give movies to underage groups).

As we can see from the above message, the copyright law based on
artistic work not relating to paragraph a and b is sctually artistic
videos meant for the 18 when MDA has not started with the idea of
screening R in Singapore theatre. When R films started screening in
Singapore, age up to 21 and above meaning 21yrs of age to 70 yrs could
only get hold of these videos using the AGC's copyright act but
underage will still have to follow MDA's films rating law to watch
films which suits their age. The other proof for this is that based on
MDA's law for personal is only up to PG BUT now the movie has already
move up to M18 which contains clamp down sexual content and full
violence, what is there to censor anyway and moreover these M18 videos
are all approved by MDA to record. Don't tell me that after you buy
the MDA's approved M18 for personal watching will need to be send back
to MDA to censor the film which I personally feel that this is a form
of controversial move. The other controversial sentence which was
mentioned in the MICA web site is that educational institute and
libraries at in-house areas are allowed to view based on MDA's
approval for R21 videos. The problem here is Singapore's Video shops
are selling the M18 which contains violence and sexual content similar
to that of R21 standard(normal movie videos based on films R21 rating
if registered in MDA's video rating section). This will become another
controversial form of comments with regards to where these film could
be watched at in-house areas.

N/B: There is no such reason as to why the sex is being regulated
using law by the government body....its all up to individuals to find
out what is suppose to mean by themselves rather than need someone to
keep stressing and remind them that yah, this is actually
allowed....which means as good as nothing to watch.
