After it was pointed out to me by a friend, I thought there might be
some interest here in Varese Sarabande's new soundtrack CD of THE ROBE.

Details at http://tinyurl.com/x5lv , but in brief, original elements
were used for this release, unlike any previous soundtrack releases.
Looks like a must-have for all true CinemaScope fetishists, which is why
I just ordered one.

Upon hearing of this release, I couldn't help but think of Joe
Caporiccio, who used to be a regular poster here, and about whom I've
heard nothing since his near-fatal accident several years ago. Anyone
know how he's doing?

Hello, Dave!! A friend told me there was a post from you here about me so I
rejoined this group I am Okay. I can't to wait to hear the new Robe, but I
must tell you that right now Varese can do no wrong. Thats cuz earlier this
year they had another morning when they were announcing new club releases
and I saw appear before my eyes not one, but two of my holy grails announce
- the actual soundtrack of Hawaii and Franz Waxmans score for Beloved
Infidel.
About the new Robe there are many questions- is it all stereo - do all
the chorus overdubs exist? It's almost complete with only three minor short
cues missing. Will get back to you once I get my copy.
