Here's a theme we haven't tried yet! It's time for some matinee
madness… Italian style! A little adventure, a little science fiction,
and even a little action. Perfect choices for a lazy Sunday afternoon!
So lock up those doors, shut those curtains, turn on the air
conditioner or fan, crank open that cold drink and cool down to these
great new titles!

THE SECRET OF THE INCAS EMPIRE - This was a real surprise! It's an
adventure movie that is inspired at least a little bit by Raiders of
the Lost Ark and Romancing the Stone, but it also has these truly
strange tangents that keep it from being a simple cash-in style
project! Conrad Nichols stars as a professor and Kelly London is his
sexy and put-upon partner. They head off into the jungles to find an
ancient city that dates back even further than any recorded Incan
civilization. Also, the founders of the pre-Incan empire may have been
travelers from another world! That explains the laser beam eyes on
those statues! Insanity! The best thing about all of this is that it's
a lot more fun than it sounds! It has energy, it's exciting, it's
ambitious, and there are some impressive set pieces throughout! As an
example, it would make an excellent double feature with something like
Jim Wynorski's 1983 The Lost Empire; it just has that kind of spirit!
The soundtrack was even provided by Walter Rizatti (credited as Walt
Ritz)! When you find yourself in the mood for something a little
different, take a look at our uncut and widescreen print that's in
English with Japanese subtitles.

THE HUMANOID - Out of all the Star Wars cash-ins to come out of
Italy, this has to be the most blatant as well as the most fun! Ivan
Rassimov plays the Darth Vader type character (Even looks like him!)
who is power hungry to the point of madness. Richard Kiel is to be his
secret weapon, but not if Corinne Clery and her ragtag collection of
heroes can thwart his plans! A pilot, a little boy with psychic
ability, a robot dog, and others all must defend Metropolis (the new
name for Earth) and bring down Graal and his evil cohorts (Bach and
Kennedy) before the human race is enslaved! The cast is great and
there are a lot of familiar names behind the camera as well. The
second unit director is Enzo Castellari, the special effects
supervisor is Antonio Margheriti, the makeup artist is Giannetto De
Rossi, and the soundtrack is by Ennio Morricone! This and Starcrash
would make a fantastic double feature! You aren't going to want to
miss this uncut movie in English Language with Japanese subtitles.

DEADLY IMPACT - A young couple has figured out a way to beat the odds
in Las Vegas thanks to the assistance of computer technology. Spending
their weekends working the system they developed for months and only
winning minor amounts at a time they have managed to amass quite a
hefty sum. Some local thugs have figured out what's going on and these
unsavory types end up murdering the boyfriend before he can tell them
where the money is stashed. The girl is now alone and on the run.
Svenson is the angry cop on the case and Williamson is his helicopter
pilot friend. They're trying to find the girl before somebody else
does! Plenty of big car chases, bigger car stunts, and even a
helicopter pursuit help keep the action moving at a brisk pace! If you
listen closely, you'll even hear musical cues borrowed from such
varied sources as the 1990: Bronx Warriors and New York Ripper
soundtracks! An entertaining movie that is now available letterboxed,
uncut, and in English language with Japanese subtitles.

Stay out of the heat this summer!
