I've been thinking of selling mine to upgrade to a 788t. I purchased
my 744t in mid-2008. It has about 30 shoot days on it. It's always
been kept in my Petrol bag when being used and kept in its own Pelican
case in my climate controlled gear room at home when not being used.,
It's never been hit or dropped. No marks on the body and no scratches
on the display. I'm a gear freak and I treat my gear very gently,
wiping it down and using canned air for dust off after every shoot
day. I just updated the firmware to the latest version 2.63. It's been
rock-solid reliable, just push the REC button and you're in business.
