We need an update of 'Taming of the Shrew" Go and watch Franco Z's
version. I watched a British version and it was impossibly dull.
Jacklynn needs a life
Jacklynn is 32 years old, lives at home, pots around selling
cellphone accounts. Jacklynn is out of control. She hates everybody.
She especially hates her sister Serena. Serena is a cute, smiling at (no spam) #$
%^ and Jacklynn is a screeching, out of control at (no spam) #$%^. Jacklynn is
not fat or ugly, actually she is pleasant looking. Jacklynn is an
obsessive domination control freak. She has dreams of being a singer
but does nothing about it.
Naturally she has no boyfriend and no life. Her father is fed up
with it. Daddy is rich, very rich.
Daddy wants Jacklynn out of the house for good, so he finds a voice
coach for Jacklynn and offers him a sizable amount of money to get
this girl a job. He finds the perfect man, Whiitaker Carlise.
Whittaker is a bigger control freak than Jacklynn. That is the
essential plot of Shrew. You don't have to make it a romance. But
Whittaker must get control of Jacklynn. Jacklynn needs to learn how to
act right. I never took the ending of Shrew seriously. Kate is being
sarcastic but has tamed her viciousness. Take it from there. |
