I received this query from an acquaintance, and have drawn a blank.
Any ideas?
"This is a long shot - but can anybody tell me what this movie is
called.
"It is an animated French movie from the 60's or 70's. The movie takes
place in a town or city called Maria (Maria may also appear in the
title). The story is about a guy who finds an injured man alongside of
a road. The injured man has a beak, and it turns out that he is an
angel. In return for his kindness, the angel allows the guy to see
what paradise/heaven looks like. Then, after seeing heaven, the man
makes a noose and hangs the angel.
"This movie was described to me by a customer - and he's trying to
track it down. He used to own it on VHS. Does it sound familiar to any
of you?" |
