I was wondering if anyone had any advice or suggestions on how to make
a sort of tumourous growth inflate from a mans stomach for a film im
making. The exit point from the stomach isnt an issue as the growth
should conceal that, its more the mechanism itself. I planned to use a
balloon filled with water but the risk of it bursting and damaging
equipment (which is not mine) is too great, so i am attempting with
air. The problem is when you inflate a balloon with air it take a much
different shape to when it has a fluid in it, rather than sagging and
looking quite organic it becomes a tight ball with no apparent weight.
I thought maybe if I had something that was creating that softer
shape, extending from a single point (eg: a stocking) the balloon
would inflate within expanding the shape and creating that motion.
Im a bit at a loss, so any suggestions would be helpful. I hope its
not too confusing.
