"Twelve O'Clock High" )US -1949) Directed by Henry King from the Sy
Bartlett and Bierne Lay Jr. play/screenplay.
Another D.F. Zanuck production and it looks like every dollar spent
wound up on the screen. This is the prototypical "warbird" movie,
it all comes together here. Great cast (all of them), tight screenplay,
fluid direction and no wasted frames. Just a lovely piece of work.
I would classify Twelve O'Clock High as a masterpiece.
