Damn, that was an excellent movie.
What a ride. Pure entertainment.
They really managed to pull this one off.
And Downey is spot-on for the part.
One last thing:
Stay in your seat until all the credits have rolled :)
Saw it, loved it, will probably see it again before the weekend is
over. I caught the DLP version, a first for me, and I have to say that
I was also damned impressed with the picture as well as the movie.
This is everything a comic book movie should be. There's enough
character development to make a good story and enough action to keep
the "I wanna see shit blow up" crowd happy, while being true to an
updated version of the origin story AND simultaneously throwing the
uber-geeks who want to see allusions to EVERYTHING they know about the
character in one outing. It is a nigh perfect example of the genre,
IMO, and I say that as someone who is prone to be more rather than
less critical BECAUSE I'm a fan and was so looking forward to it.
The one I saw also had the latest trailers for "The Dark Knight" and
"The Incredible Hulk" as well as for the new Indiana Jones flick, so
the sold-out crowd I saw it with was stoked even before it started.
