Is anyone going to post the usual Cinefest review?
I was only there the last two days, so I don't feel qualified to start
out.

Ah yes, sadly it seems that the ole
AMS has been relegated
to the dustbin of intellectual discord.
Replaced it seems by the forum of the gentleman
whose photo suggests a tweed disposition. |

Is that like the Mona Lisa being half Leonardo Da Vinci?
But seriously..
I actually meant discourse not discord though that may be the
reason why many regular posters abandoned ship.
I think it noble to provide an alternate haven for silent film
discussion where boorish behavoir is immediately shown the
door. |

Has anyone noticed that the level of civility on AMS has increased
significantly since the debut of Nitrateville?

Just this morning my pinky finger
practically raised itself as I was sipping
my morning cup of cow swiggle, yes. |

I have noticed that there's not many interesting topics being
discussed. Pretty slow these days. |

What topics would you like to see? |

Actually, I don't believe that any legitimate posters have been shown the
door. But people shilling Viagara, porn, MP3 downloads, etc. are
immediately removed.

I for one lost hope (and much of my interest) after months of LLoyd
and Tom's endless bickering one-upsmanship and David Totheroth and
Richard Roberts' nastiness. All of them very intelligent people, it's
distressing when they start harping on particular topics and just
won't let things drop.
There' I've said it and I'm glad.
It won't do a bit of good.

The Mexican-American War (1846-1848) was a disgrace.
There, I've said it.
It won't do a bit of good.

I ENJOY reading those "endless lists". Keep them coming. As for
"absurd topics", I prefer to take the advice of Silent Comedy
genius , Harold Lloyd. One of his comedy writers had many absurd ideas
but He also presented some great comedy ideas and thus it was all
worthwhile |
