Just a fast update:

3 chapters have been put together in rough cut format. Sound effects
are not in, the serial has not been converted to black and white, and
the lighting and sound corrections have not been completely made, but
overall things are shaping up nicely. There's two more days of
filming, both in December, and the hope is to have the entire serial
out as early as February, 2008. This is shaping up to be
substantially better as a serial than KING OF THE PARK RANGERS, which
is quite a good thing.

Incidentally, the chapters seem to be running about 10 minutes, so
they're a little shorter than other serial chapters, but I'll take
Quality over Quantity any day.

Yeah, but what does that have to do with M15 Persecution?

Ignoring Laughing Gravy, but bumping this to the top (to get it over
all that silly ass MI5 Persecution crap) to mention that tomorrow I
will be working on a rough cut version of chapter five. We're
supposed to shoot the chapter six cliffhanger next Sunday and then do
the last day of shooting on 12/9.

How is the writers' strike affecting production?

Being gloriously non-union--as well as my own writer/producer/
director--the strike is not affecting me at all, Stan.

I don't know, Mr. Avenger, but I'm not really certain that is appropriate
for you not to be walking the picket line at your production. You might
even find it necessary to slash your own tires or something. This could get
nasty.

The chapter six cliffhanger was shot today. Lotta decent stuff in
it. Next Sunday is the last day of filming, with the chapter nine
cliffhanger and an extended sequence for chapter one as well as a car
chase for chapter three. After that, the editing will go full tilt
and the film should be ready come February.

Filming is at long last finished. It was truly a wild 8 month ride
but it is over now. I will be very interested in seeing the final
assembled project.

DAMN IT. My own www.inthebalcony.com cabal of serial fiends and
hypsters are MORE than a LITTLE UPSET that you DIDN'T FAIL.

CURSE YOU, DARK AVENGER! We've spent months following the filming day
by day, sweating over it, wondering about it, spying on you, fretting
and fussing over the thought of you making another serial, and trying
to do everything we could to impede the completion of your latest
masterwork. And now you tell us that you've completed the filming!

DAMN. DAMN. DAMN!

Let's not get overmelodramatic, Gravy. However, as a matter of fact,
some of the nastier things a few of your friends have said indicate
they would be pleased to hear it go under. The fact that one of your
friends made an entire thread to blast the trailer says quite a bit.
And the fact that another one decided the quality of the entire film
based on three minutes, well...that too says quite a bit. I'll give
you your due in the fact that you have been fairly quiet on the whole
thing.

Incidentally, I will offer you a challenge here and now. DoD will be
released officially on Amazon.com, which will make it a fairly
legitimate release. I'll send you a review copy if you think you can
(and are willing to) do a fair and balanced review of it. I do think
you'll like it better than MONARCH OF THE MOON if you approach it with
an open mind.

What say you?

Editing on the Dangers of Deborah has begun in full force. I'm hoping
the film will be done in the next few weeks.

If you're in the Philadelphia area, your first chance to get a glimpse
of a chapter will be this upcoming Monday. I am currently planning on
going to the Bryn Mawr Film Institute for Open Movie Monday. It's at
824 Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA starting at 9:15 pm with chapter one
of the serial.
